Hello Pikardgt,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

To have your Apple Watch connect to your home Wi-Fi network automatically, make sure the requirements are met

Find compatible Wi-Fi networks
Your Apple Watch can connect to a Wi-Fi network:
  • If your iPhone, while connected to your watch with Bluetooth, has connected to the network before.
  • If the Wi-Fi network is 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz (or 5 GHz if you have Apple Watch Series 6).
Your Apple Watch won't connect to public networks that require logins, subscriptions, or profiles. These networks, called captive networks, can include free and pay networks in places like businesses, schools, dorms, apartments, hotels, and stores. When your Apple Watch connects to a compatible Wi-Fi network instead of your iPhone connection, the Wi-Fi icon the Wi-Fi icon appears in the Control Center.

Connect your Apple Watch to Wi-Fi

We also have additional information if you're attempting to connect your Apple Watch to a private address:

Use a private network address on Apple Watch
To help protect your privacy, your Apple Watch uses a unique private network address, called a media access control (MAC) address, on each Wi-Fi network it joins. If a network can’t use a private address (for example, to provide parental controls or to identify your Apple Watch as authorized to join), you can stop using a private address for that network.
1. Touch and hold the bottom of the screen, then swipe up to open Control Center.
2. Touch and hold the Wi-Fi button, then tap the name of the network you joined.
3. Turn off Private Address.
Important: For better privacy, leave Private Address turned on for all networks that support it. Using a private address helps reduce tracking of your Apple Watch across different Wi-Fi networks.
