Phone is getting slower

Hello, my question is about why the speed of my phone is getting slower every time i make an update? The biggest change i saw in my phone was when I updated from iOS 14 to 15, I observed that my phone was getting slower in everything and some times it stoped some apps from working and the quality of the cameras was reduced big time and I’m obsessed with taking pictures and i felt very deluded when it happened, I paid a lot of money for the best phone of that time for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and getting to experience this change in performance wasn’t what i was expecting from iPhone, so can you help me telling how can i increase the performance of my phone and what can i do about the cameras to get back at the quality they had in the beginning.

Thank you and hope to get a good answer from you.

The performance drop is not as a result of the iOS update by itself but incomptible apps can cause it.

Removing all VPN and security apps is remedy number one.

After that the next step with such an affected phone would be to backup then restore your device to factory, and setup the device without restoring a backup, to see if the issue is replicated.

Then restore the backup.

If you need to send the phone in for repair then backing up and restoring to factory would be needed anyway.

Here is a guide for those steps

Backup and restore (I recommend the computer method if you have one)

If you can import your media to Photos or iTunes in a computer and copy important documents to a cloud server it will give you some resilience on case the restore from backup fails.

(2)    Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

Set up as new from the Hello Screen without restoring backup.

Test if the problem still exists

If the problem goes away in the newly set up phone then suspect settings or apps.

If the problem remains then arrange a repair including details of these tests.
