orchestral software track plays a different note on MOJAVE and CATALINA

i have 2 IMACS

one which the original musical score is on is now 10.14.6 and i recorded in 2010 an orchestral percussion kit software track ( part of the song ) chimes A4 ( note ) ...i must have updated GB to MOJAVE 10.14.6 a few years ago so songs are being converted or updated. I created a video today and used this song ( WAC or AAC or AIFF ) for the AUDIO and it plays like it should on the original IMAC with 10.14.6

if i play it on CATALINA 10.15.7 ( the other IMAC with the video i created ) i am hearing a different sound, not the CHIME and it is awful it might be F4. why isnt the audio ( on the ORCHESTRAL SOFTWARE TRACK ) that was recorded on the original iMac in the original GB song sounding the same on CATALINA?

the percussion software track seems the only track that is playing the wrong percussive sound on the 10.15.7. thank you so much for your help in understanding this. its a new problem and im using GB since 2004. GLENN LOSACK

No two Macs, even when "identical" will operate exactly the same. The same is true for sound systems as different year models have different speaker designs and such. The same can be said for how a given Mac processes sound and of course any kind of conversion can easily effect sound.

Also, as the OS progress through time, changes are made that may have unintended consequences. I doubt the two versions of GB are exactly identical in every respect.
