How to turn on iPhone WiFi with a screen that does not work?
My iPhone 11 pro screen was going through phases of the screen freezing and not being able to touch anything on the screen at all for several months. I could bang it on my leg or do a hard reset to get it working again for a few days and sometimes weeks. Then the screen started freezing more and more frequently until eventually I could not touch anything at all.
The screen has now been frozen for 5 months and since my apple warranty was voided due to a crack on the back of the phone I was forced to buy a new phone. My phone provider recommended taking it to get the screen fixed at a local repair shop, but I do not want to pay their prices for a phone I no longer need.
I would love to have it fixed or at the very least sell it to get some of my money back for someone else to fix, but I cannot get to the last step required of deleting all of my info from the phone.
I signed into iCloud -> Find Devices -> All Devices -> Reset iPhone
But now it says the "Erase Pending - this iPhone will be erased when it connects to the internet"
(Usually my phone autoconnects to my home wifi, but for some reason it is not connecting)
Does anyone know how I can finish this last step of connecting to Wi-Fi without being able to touch the screen or how I can get everything erased without being able to use the screen?
