Phony Message in Calendar on iPad

I got a message in the inbox of my iPad Calendar. It says Siri found a new event. It shows a flight on Southwest Airlines from and to airports that I did not book. I do have two other flights on Southwest that day, but not to or from the airports in this message. And there is no way my scheduled flight would be changed to the airports in the message. The only options are to Add to Calendar and Ignore. I did not tap either of those. But I did tap the message itself and it then showed up in light blue on my calendar. At the bottom of the screen there are options to Add to Calendar or Ignore.

how do I get rid of this? And does my iPad now have malware that I need to get rid of somehow?

i have IOS 15.3.1.

Thank you.

Al

I guess I am missing something. I am looking at the instructions for IOS 14.6 or later.
Step 1 is Open Calendar App
Step 2 is Tap the Unwanted Calendar event
Step 3 is Tap Unsubscribe from this Calendar
Step 4 is To confirm, tap Unsubscribe.

So, I opened the Calendar App (Step 1)
I tapped on the unwanted message in other Inbox (Step 2)
when I did that, it opened my Calendar to the date shown in the unwanted message. The unwanted event appears there. When I tap that event, the only things at the bottom of the screen are Add to Calendar and Ignore. There is no Unsubscribe option.

The next paragraph where you go to settings - mails

Is this what you mean?

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Calendar > Accounts. Or if you use iOS 13, tap Passwords & Accounts > Accounts instead.
  3. Tap Subscribed Calendars.
  4. Look for a calendar that you don't recognize. Tap it, then tap Delete Account.

I followed those steps. I opened Settings, tapped Calendar, tapped Accounts.

I do not see Subscribed Calendars. But I see the Accounts that I have always had. The only calendar listed is iCloud. See the screenshot photo below. I do not see any Calendar that I did not have before this issue arose. Is there something else I need to do?

thanks again.

After sending my message, and before getting your reply, I closed my Calendar. When I reopened it, the event no longer showed up in light blue in the Calendar. But the message is still present in the Calendar message inbox. But there is no Unsubscribe from this Calendar option. Where do I find that? Also, the link you sent was for iPhone. Does the information apply to iPad?

thank you.
