Trying to set up 2-Way Sync with Outlook and iCal calenders

I have my personal Calendar in iCal.

Work uses Office 365, this is where all scheduling of meetings etc happens

I need the events in my personal calendar to show up in my Outlook calendar so that those times are appropriately bocked out as busy when someone goes to schedule a meeting with me.

The events need to show up in the main outlook calendar. Making my personal iCal Calendar shared and subscribing to it in outlook does not fix my problem as only the main outlook calendars busy status is reflected in Outlook's scheduler.

I am fine paying for a solution or setting up an automator to duplicate all events for me.

Thus far my googling has only found solutions that work to sync google and exchange calendars (not helpful)

I know automator is a thing that exists but it is beyond anything I've done before. I am reasonably tech savvy if someone could direct me to a walkthrough I'd be fine.

Solutions that don't work.

Having to manually enter every personal event into two calendars. I WILL forget, inevitability for a very important meeting. This is a non-starter.

Completely switching over to Outlook. I have access to that calendar for as long as I am an employee. I use my calendar to keep track of all sorts of information I need to be in control of it.

Microsoft support has washed their hands, my organizations IT wont help as I am a teleworker using my own device. Please help I am at my wits end.

I have already done that and as I said in my initial posting that does not resolve my issue

I need the individual events to end up not just in the correct calendar application (Outlook) but also the specific calendar (this time referring to a group of events organized together with specific associated permissions) within that application.
