2016 $ 2017 MBP motherboard change

i have a 2016 MBP without touchbar and it now has a motherboard issue, i have noticed that the 2016 and 2017 displays on these can be swapped with each other. So that makes me wonder, can i put a 2017 macbook pro's logic board on my 2016 parts? Since their the same price on the used market that slight power increase would be nice.

No, the Touchbar models are physically completely different from the non-touchbar models. You can swap boards between two non-touchbar 2016 & 2017 models

FYI, It is also possible to swap boards between one 2016 Touchbar model and a 2017 Touchbar model.

The 2016 & 2017 models are the only current models where this is possible.
