Hi there dagny gromer,

Are you using the Twitter app on your Mac, or Safari? Either way, try restarting first. If the issue persists, and you're using the app, check for an update. This can be done by going to the App Store > Updates Pane (in the sidebar). Then either select Update All, or click Update beside the Twitter app. There are additional ways to update here: Use the App Store to update apps on Mac.

If the issue persists, test in a new administrator account. This will help determine if the behavior is specific to one account. Here's how: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac.

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups .
If the lock at the bottom left is locked , click it to unlock the preference pane.
2. Click the Add button  below the list of users.
3. Click the New Account pop-up menu, then choose Administrator
4. Enter a full name for the new user. An account name is generated automatically. To use a different account name, enter it now—you can’t change it later.
5. Enter a password for the user, then enter it again to verify. Enter a password hint to help the user remember their password.
6. Click Create User.

Reply if you need more help.

Cheers.
