using the mouse when the screen is broken or does not respond on the lock screen.

Hi there, Can I use or Connect a Mouse to iPhone using an OTG cable and a non-wireless mouse?

last time my iPhone crashed but didn't cause any damage including the screen, but when I try to touch the screen it's not responding.

when I search on Youtube I found some android users use OTG cable and mouse when their phone screen is broken.

so I started thinking, can you use or Connect Mouse to iPhone using OTG cable and non-wireless mouse?

and that's when I searched Youtube again, some people say it's possible to use a mouse on iPhone with IOS 13 or Newer and assistive touch ON.

On my iPhone's Lock screen, I remember assistive touch showing on the Lock screen and that means it's on.

And my question Is:

does it still work if the screen says "Press home button to restore" with a white background on it after updating iOS using a computer?

Due to the latest IOS 15.3 update, I thought to update it first before Connecting it to Mouse.

I Will appreciate your suggestion. ThankYou and Sorry If I have bad English.

Hello AllofYou13,

While using a third-party mouse may not get your iPhone display responding again, or get you back to the Home Screen, there are a few steps you can take that have helped with similar concerns in the past.

For instance, try force restarting your iPhone. Here's how to do this on an iPhone 7:

Press and hold both the volume down button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

This information, as well as a visual guide, can be found in Force restart iPhone.

If the issues persist, we then suggest following the steps in the section "If your iPhone turns on but gets stuck during start up" here:

If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen

If your iPhone turns on but gets stuck during start up

If you see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen during startup, try these steps:
1. Connect your iPhone to a computer. On a Mac with macOS Catalina, open the Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or on a PC, open iTunes. Find out which macOS your Mac is using.
2. Select your iPhone on your computer.
3. While your iPhone is connected... On your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the side button and volume down button at the same time.
4. Keep holding the buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.
5. When you get the option to restore or update, choose Update.
6. Your computer will download the software for your device. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your device will exit recovery mode. Repeat steps 2-4.

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
