I do not own a HomePod but iPhone Siri Having Network Problem with HomePod

When my phone is connecting on bluetooth car stereo or AirPods, the follow error occurs when I commanded Siri to launch apps.

"Sorry, I'm having problems with the connection. Check that your personal device is on the same Wi-Fi network as this HomePod."

"Sorry, I'm still having problems with the connection."

But other command like changing brightness or volume, shuffling musics works.

The problem is, I do not have any HomePod, nor connecting any on my network. This issue happens even when I turned off WiFi and using only data. I have tried resetting phone's network setting, even reset the phone, forget and reconnect those bluetooth devices, the same error occurs.

Only if I turn off bluetooth, or disconnecting bluetooth audio devices, then Siri won't have such issue.

I have done Google but seems like no one having same issue like me.

CheeHon,

Thanks so much for letting us know that your device is up-to-date.

You mentioned that the error occurs when asking Siri to launch apps; does this happen with all apps, or only specific ones? More about what you can ask Siri to do here: Ask Siri on iPhone

Have you used a HomePod in the past? That information can help us narrow this down further.

In the meantime, you can find some good information on using Siri on your devices here: Use Siri on all your Apple devices

Take care!

Hello CheeHon,

To help resolve this issue with Siri, make sure. your iPhone is up-to-date. Apple's updates contain software that is crucial to the operation of your iPhone: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch wirelessly1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.4. If you see two software update options available, choose the one that you want to install.5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

You might see that your device is up to date and that there's an upgrade available. For example, even if your device is up to date with the latest version of iOS 14, there might be an option to upgrade to iOS 15. You might want to upgrade iOS when you pair an accessory with iPhone.

Try turning Hey Siri off and turn it back on to see if it helps: If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone or iPad

Best Regards.
