MagSafe charger connects and disconnects with leather case

If the leather case is holding any items such as an ID, credit cards or passports, it's possible they could be interfering with charging capability and causing the intermittent disconnects.

• "Don't place credit cards, security badges, passports, or key fobs between your iPhone and MagSafe Charger, because this might damage magnetic strips or RFID chips in those items. 
• If you have a case that holds any of these sensitive items, remove them before charging or make sure that they aren’t between the back of your device and the charger."

I’m having the same issues. Over night, the charger disconnects and reconnects frequently. I had the cable replaced and it’s still doing it. I have tried charging the phone on other chargers such as plug in and wireless pad but working fine.

My case is an official silicone case.

currently, I have had the puck and brick replaced and it seems to be more stable, but I don’t think it’s replaced the problem.

the next stage apple wants to do is replace the charging coil. However my phone charges using a wireless charging pad fine…

Hello komaromimarcell, Try charging your iPhone on MagSafe with the Leather Case off. If it works better don't charge with the Leather case on. See the last section on this Apple Support Page;

I’m having exactly the same problem and there’s nothing except a plastic case around the phone. It charges with an ordinary charger fine. No suggestions, Apple?

Is it an Apple MagSafe plastic case?

Yes it is
