Welcome Delisa96,
Based on your post, you've had issues copying and pasting into a note, then locking it. We'll do our best to help out.
It sounds as though you've been following these steps to lock notes: How to lock notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch If not, we'd confirm that you are using those steps.
Use Notes password-protection
Whether your note has an image, scanned document, or a list of important information, it's easy to keep it safe with password protection. You'll see a Lock icon
next to each note that's locked. Until you enter your password, or use Face ID or Touch ID, you only see the title and the last date that the note was edited.
Lock a note
1. Open the note that you want to lock.
2. Tap the More
button.
3. Tap Lock.
After you lock your note, it stays open and you'll see the Lock icon
at the top of the screen. You can hide the note's contents when you tap the Lock icon
.
In case it should persist, then it would be best to connect with Apple Support: Get Support
Wishing you well, cheers.
