I can't get my @mac.com email to be online no matter what I do.

How to I get my @mac.com email to work again. In preferences it shows offline. I've tried to turn it online but to no avail. Please help.

Hi, DebraHuett, maybe I can help you (a bit).... IMAP and not SMTP (or POP3) is the "new" default email protocol....

Here's the IMAP setttings for @mac.com email (see link) https://getmailspring.com/setup/access-mac-com-via-imap-smtp

you might want to try this: sign out from iCloud, shut down your MacBook Pro 13", do a reset smc/PMU and zap pram 4 times, then let it boot up as per usual, and then sign in with iCloud....
