@mac or @me

I have always given my email address as ... @mac.com. However, I can only send emails as ... @me.com. This is very confusing for me and my addressees. Should I no long use @mac.com?

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 10.15

Based on what you posted, if you stopped using @mac.com it would be less confusing for everyone, including yourself. Why continue to confuse people?

Of course, you're right. I've been using @mac for so long that it's hard to imagine not using it... I will stop using @mac!
