Outlook not syncing in Mail App on my iPhone

Why is my outlook not showing in the mail app. Everything just disappeared.

Outlook iphone and ipad apps no longer syncing I've been using the Outlook app to sync calendars and email accounts (for years) and recently both stopped syncing. I have changed no settings and cannot think of any change that would cause this. Mail App on iOS (Mac) works fine. On both iphone and ipad, I have reset accounts, deleted them and started over, etc. and both are showing a lower banner that says "Updating..." It never completes this step. Help?

Outlook app doesn't synchronize when in background I have an iPhone 8+ with iOS 12.4 and the Outlook app. I think this used to work but doesn't anymore: when the app is in background (when phone screen is locked/off, or even when using the phone but other app is in foreground) it doesn't sync email. Not until I bring it to the foreground, when it automatically syncs right away. Apple's Mail program does sync on its own, in background. Any way to make Outlook sync every so often, even if it's not in foreground?

Go to Settings/Mail/Accounts and see if your account is set up correctly.

My interface between MS Outlook and iCloud has stopped working around the second week of Feb, now getting an error message - "send/receive error" when outlook goes to my .ME.Com to make the exchange. Thus my calendar on the desktop in Outlook is no longer being kept up to date. message
