High cpu usage imac

My late 2015 iMac is really struggling at the moment. It is so slow browsing the net, running InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator and Logic Pro. The CPU usage seems to be really high most of the time with kernel_task and mds_stores being the main culprits. It seems to have been like this since upgrading to Monterey.

Does anyone have any solutions or ideas as to what may be the problem?
