Photo Booth Library suddenly gone, I didn't erase it, is not in the trash, how can I recover it?

I did not export them, in fact I didn't change anything from Friday when I opened the app last and everything was there.

The Photo Booth Library package was always on the Pictures folder and now is gone, as I said there is nowhere to be found, with search, on the trash, or even with a recovery app.

If I go to the Applications folder and click on the Photo Booth app to show the package contents I only get contents from the app, but still my pictures seem gone.

I never knew that anything could disappear like this from a mac, I'm wondering if it's name was changed or if it moved to a place where the Search function can't find it.

Well I certainly can not explain your current situation

Mac is no different than any computer, which can fail in many ways, at anytime...this is why is always advised to have a back up

Local snapshots are stored on your Mac, according to available space, use the Time Machine icon in the upper right menubar and go back a few days to see if you can restore....

If you export the photos from there, they go to your ~/Pictures folder.

The ~/Pictures/Photo Booth folder is no longer used...

You can go to the ~/Pictures/"Photo Booth Library" and Control click to see the package contents and see the Pictures folder there.
