Personal domain with iCloud, not showing my email@mydomaine.com

I have changed all DNS details from my domain host to iCloud as I have more space on my iCloud+ subscription. Mails are coming in, but I can't create an email with my domain. I only shows ...@iCloud.com or ...@me.com as possible send-from adresses. Any ideas ?

ps. I use my email@mydomain.com as my apple ID. Is that a conflict ?

Hi christoffer51,

Using a custom iCloud domain for your Apple ID doesn't seem like a good idea. As the iCloud custom email domain is set up from your Apple ID account, as stated in the below article:

You can use your custom email address in the Mail app on any device signed in with your Apple ID and iCloud Mail turned on, or on iCloud.com/mail

Use Custom Email Domain with iCloud Mail

We're not finding that this shouldn't be done in an Apple ID or iCloud custom domain article. However, before deciding to keep your Apple ID as this domain email address, we'd recommend contacting Apple Support, to clarify if this should be done.

You should also be able to send an email from your iCloud custom domain, so we'd also suggest asking Apple about that too.

Take care!
