Creating movie and wont save as .mov file

I created a movie using my iphone and it was 3 clips, I imported them to my MacBook Air so that I can see it on a larger screen. I used imovie to add the clips together and added some extras, but when I try to save it as a .mov to upload to facebook or you tube, its saving it as a MP4 file for some reason. As you can see below, it doesn't give me another way to save it on my desktop as a movie. HELP?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2

iMovie exports (saves) projects as Mp4/AAC at all export settings except Best Quality (pro res). When you export at Best Quality (pro res) you will get a .mov file. However, the .mov file will be about 4 times larger than the Mp4 file you would get if you exported at High Quality instead of Best Quality (pro res).

Mp4 is one of the most universally compatible of all delivery formats. You Tube and Facebook accept it. Unless you have some particular reason for wanting a .mov file you are better off with a Mp4 file. It is much smaller, as mentioned, and more suitable for upload to the internet. It also displays great on large screen TVs. The Best Quality (pro res) format is mainly for professional editing. It is unlikely that the human eye could detect any quality improvement with the .mov pro res format unless one zoomed in on the pixels.
