The "Related Article" states:
"How to take a screenshot on iPhone models with Touch ID and side button
- Press the side button and the Home button at the same time.
2 . Quickly release both buttons.
3 . After you take a screenshot, a thumbnail temporarily appears in the lower-left corner of your screen. Tap the thumbnail to open it or swipe left to dismiss it.

Have you tried pressing and quickly releasing the home button and the volume up button? This is how a screenshot is taken on my iPhone SE 2020 and I would assume it would be the same for the iPhone 6s since that phone has a home button.
I tried that, but when I tried to past it to a text message or went into my photos the screen shot wasn't there.
What am I still doing wrong?
