AirPods 3rd gen causing spots in ears?

Just upgrades from 2nd to 3rd generation airpods and they are great but after a week or so I began to get spots in my ears that are really painful so I’m wondering what this is?

Three Things Here:

A. Reset these to Factory Settings: How to Reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

B. Verifying Genuine AirPods:

Verify that these are genuine, and are not fake AirPods.

  1. Get the Serial Number: Find the Serial Number of your AirPods - Apple Support
  2. Enter the Serial Number here: https://checkcoverage.apple.com/.
  3. View the Results: If all shows up as an AirPod, then you are fine. If not, then these are fake, and that is likely why you are getting the issue of connectivity.

C. Contact Amazon:

If not success, contact Amazon, seeing if the seller can be held accountable, and if you can get your money back. The seller should have known better
