Is the ASUS BE24DQLB 23.8 inch monitor suitable for Mac Mini M1 and, if so, which cable would I need to connect them?

That monitor appears to work with HDMI, so yes, it should work fine. It doesn't say it comes with an HDMI cable, so you may need to pick one up.

FWIW, I would get a certified HDMI cable anyway as generally ones supplied by manufacturers are cheap and can be unreliable.
