How do you update and back up your router?
Your Wi-Fi Router can be setup to update the firmware and in most cases you can set it up to auto update as well. Most Wi-Fi Routers also allow to backup the settings on an external device. All Wi-Fi Routes have unique procedures to accomplish the above and those procedures differ from one manufacturer of the router to another.
My recommendation is to either refer to the owner’s manual of the Wi-Fi Router or contact the manufacturer’s support site. If your router was supplied to you by the Wi-Fi service provider, then you may also contact them for next steps.
