That being said,

• Apple Trade In is not available for the Apple TV box.
• If you want to sell it, then do so privately, online or locally.

That is correct.

If you bring it in to Apple, they’ll collect it for raw material recycling.

As in money? Nothing (£ 0) I think, I believe the disassembly may cost a bit more, but is often subsidized for environmental responsibility. That’s how it works where I live anyway.
