Wifi not detected / Airdrop not working

Hello everyone! Unfortunately my Mac displays the cross in the wifi symbol, meaning that no wifi hardware is detected. I’ve tried rebooting, resetting, reinstalling everything with no success. I’m using an external antenna right now but my main issue is not being able to use Airdrop. Bluetooth does work fine though. I looked at another thread where even when the card was replaced it still showed the same error. Has anyone experienced this? How did you solve it? I’d also appreciate it a lot if you know an alternative for airdrop (Fast file transfer with no loss in quality).

Thanks!

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

If the WiFi card is not recognized by the System Info than you have a hardware issue...
