iPhone 8 low battery issue - is Apple giving new batteries to current users? Do I have to go to Apple to get a new battery?

There hasn't been any program for iPhone 7 batteries other than the worldwide battery replacement program in 2018. That was for most newer iPhone models for $29 in the United States (prices were different in other countries). Other than that, you can pay the regular price for an iPhone battery replacement, which is $49 in the US for an iPhone 7 or 8.
