Green Join / FaceTime Icon

While in messages and you click onto a thread. Why does the icon appear Green Join / FaceTime Icon instead of the blue outside? Does this mean the contact is on the phone

Thanks for clarifying. If you are asking about the FaceTime icon, and it works to start a FaceTime call, then this would be expected behavior to see the icon green in a Message thread likely because the FaceTime icon is green.
