Apple TV iPhone remote

I have a bose sound bar connected to my tv, which i can control with the usual black, touch apple remote.

I have the ability to control the Apple TV via my phone, but not the Bose speaker.

could someone please help?

Only possible if the Bose audio system supports volume control through HDMI-CEC. If it isn’t connected by HDMI, or if it doesn’t support that specific CEC feature, then it isn’t possible through the software remote.

2. While volume control normally works using the IR sensor on the front of your TV or receiver, some receivers use HDMI-CEC instead.
