Apps I never purchased show as purchased apps in account settings

Why did I receive from Apple an express replacement device with Newly “purchased’ apps installed on it? These are apps that I did not nor have I ever purchased yet they now show in my list of recently purchased Apps in the account settings on my iPhone; and as in previously mentioned they were installed on the device when received. The apps in question are: Keynote, numbers, pages, iMovie, clips and garage band.
