My Apple TV won’t connect to my phones hotspot.

My Apple TV won’t connect to my phones hotspot, it says the password is incorrect (-100) but doesn’t give the option to enter a password . Also I have used that phone to hotspot my TV every time I have used it so the password it automatic. I have restarted the TV and reset it to its factory settings. I’ve turned it off and on again. I think it happened when my phone automatically updated but please let there be a way to fix this. Help.

Several other users of that same model have reported that too on this forum, since iOS 15. I can’t test that personally, without a 3rd generation model.

Try connecting by using the Other option, instead of selecting a listed network.

Then enter both the SSID network name and its password.

Also set the iPhone hotspot to use the Maximize Compatibility option, if your model iPhone has that option.
