In Keynote Record Presentation mode...when editing the recording by dragging the playback slider

In Keynote Record Presentation mode...when editing the recording and dragging the playback slider at the bottom of the screen with the mouse to where I want to start recording is too coarse... Especially when near the end of a long recording. Is there another way to move the slider perhaps using a hotkey that would provide a finer movement?

The slider in the record slideshow track can only be moved by clicking and dragging the slider or by using the play or pause control.

The divisions in this section of one of my recordings has a duration of 1/5 of a second, do you need a higher resolution than that?

Thanks for your response Gary...but I guess what I am looking for is the speed of the movement, not the minimum distance. I find that my pudgy fingers have a hard time moving only 1/5 of a second. It would be great if I had a hotkey that would move in 1/5 of a second at a time, ahead or back, so that I could quickly zoom in to where I want to be, rather than overshooting and having to listen to my boring voice-over and then quickly stopping the forward movement at the precise 1/5 of a second.
