Is there a way to color-code calendar events by type on an I-pad?

I’ve used g-mail Calendar for years on my pc and Android devices. On those platforms I was able to assign a color to any given entry. Can that be done on Apple products?

To clarify, I have seen responses which indicate you can assign a color to different calendars. But that is not what I am trying to do. I would like to be able to assign a color to a specific event within a given calendar. For example, I could choose one color for a seminar, a different color for a school sports event, and other colors for other types of events. I find that very helpful in locating a given appointment at a glance

Thanks.

Hi GJF-at-Apple,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

Have a look at this page in the User Guide: Set up multiple calendars on iPhone. You'll be able to see the colors of various calendars you can choose from with iCloud.

When you create an event, you will choose one of these colored calendars that best fits your description. Please see: Create and edit events in Calendar on iPhone.

If you wanted different options for colors or calendars, you can leave Product Feedback and the right team can review it.

Have a fantastic day!
