macbook pro 2017 screen blank

my mac book after update of IOS turned off screen completely and now i am using second monitor to type this message. i can't see anything on the screen so even to get the message on the second monitor i have to just type in password on the blank screen first and then it shows up on the second screen. Do i need to replace my screen ? how much is it ?
