Factory Reset my Phone and it Froze

So, throughout the day, my phone was doing a lot of ghost touching (I believe that's the right term), and I did everything I could to fix it. Nothing worked, so I decided to just factory reset it. All was going fine until I had to connect to wifi and it started zooming in. Out of irritation, as it's been a very irritating day in regards of using my phone, I accidentally pressed the power put and put it to sleep. When I tried to press it again, it got stuck on a dark gray screen. Is there anyway to fix this? I use my phone on a daily for work stuff when I don't have my laptop and I have people (namely, people at my job and professors) that I have to communicate with on a daily. Please help.
