Marketplace fault

I have a 5th generation iPad and every time I go into marketplace via the Facebook Ap it crashes the Ap and takes me back to the main icon screen. Has been doing this for years. Very annoying. Apple support can’t help they tell me to contact Facebook but all you can do is report the issue via feedback and nobody gets back to you? The way I see it it is an Apple issue they need to resolve for me

Hi and thank you for asking your question about the Facebook App on the Apple Support Community forum.

The iPad 5th generation doesn't update to the latest software of iPadOS 15. I suspect that the Facebook app needs to be updated and that is why you are crashing when loading the marketplace. You may want to stop using the app and login to Facebook using a browser like Safari on the iPad when you want to browse the items for sale.

You can learn more about iPadOS 15 and the compatible devices here.

Hope this helps :)

As you have already been told, this is something that Facebook support will need to deal with, it is their app. See this for an app that crashes to see if that helps, but if not, you need to contact their support. They are responsible for supporting their app. If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support

FYI, you are not addressing Apple and this is not Apple support. We are all volunteer users so we are not expected to be "taking responsibilities". And, just as an aside, the App store is just a store - there is no way that Apple can be responsible for millions of apps on millions of differently configured devices. That is utopian. Here are Apple's terms:

Legal - Apple Media Services - Apple

which include:

The App Provider of any Third Party App is solely responsible for its content, warranties, and claims that you may have related to the Third Party App.

Apple is responsible for providing maintenance and support for Apple Apps only, or as required under applicable law. App Providers are responsible for providing maintenance and support for Third Party Apps.

And, it is certainly not anyone's fault here that Facebook's support is not responsive. Contact Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of what used to be Facebook).

Very Disappointing in your response. The way I see it is that you put all the responsibilities on the user by duck shoving them to the App Developer. At the end of the day the Marketplace App doesn't work on an Apple device. I believe that you should be taking responsibilities of this issue all the way through to resolution. Also I have tried to contact Facebook but all you can do is leave feedback and they never contact you back.
