reverse an auto iCloud sync of photos

I turned on my old iphone 6. The photos on the device (iphone 6) had not synced with icloud. I turned on the wifi thinking the old photos would sync with icloud. The old photos that were not synced with icloud on the device (iphone 6) were replaced by the current photos in icloud. The old photos from the device (iphone 6) do not appear in icloud.

How do I get the old photos back that were on the device (iphone 6)?

Hello Sbirkett,

It sounds like you'd like to recover photos that were removed from your older iPhone when you turned on Wi-Fi.

Try these steps:

Check your Recently Deleted album to see if you can view them there.
Also, sign in to iCloud.com from a computer to see if you can locate them.
