Suddenly my mac wont let me type certain letters.
If by chance it happens again and those certain letters are 789uiojkl, it is because you have hit the option key 5 times and turned on Mouse Keys. Do it again to turn that OFF.

Actually, I think my friend accidentally hit some keyboard preferences ... I couldn't type anything into search after 2 letters ... seems that an option was enabled (or disabled) I have no idea but she just undid what she did earlier. Thank you so much for wanting to help... I appreciate it!!
