AirPods Pro Damaged From Overheating?

I've had my AirPods Pro for over a year now and I've been charging them on an Anker wireless pad. I've never had an issue until this morning.

I went to use my AirPods when I noticed they were extremely warm (almost hot) to the touch. The wireless pad was the same. When I took the AirPods out of the case, nothing happened. I could not get them to connect to my MacBook or my iPhone.

I let them cool off for a good 45min and still nothing.

Look like my AirPods are toast. Has anyone else experienced this?

This should not happen because these charging pads should regulate the wattage that comes trough. Contact Anker and/or Apple for help
