When I remove the SIM card, only the frame comes out, not the circuit board. Why and isn’t this a problem if I’m trading in my iPad?

I removed my SIM card from my iPad and only the frame comes out. There is no circuit board. Is the board stuck inside with all my data?

No data is stored on your SIM.

Make a Genius Bar reservation to get assistance removing the

sim. You can trade-in your iPad while you are there.
