Apple Maps app not rotating 180 degrees

I had an iPhone 8 Plus which was working perfectly. When driving, I could plug in the phone (because using Maps sucked my battery), turn on the Maps app and turn the phone so the charging cord was 'up' and Maps would rotate. WHY, when I 'upgraded' to the fancy, new iPhone 13 Pro, can I NOT do that anymore?!! Anyone else having this problem?
