Opimized Battery Charging

Is there a way to bypass this feature? I have followed all the directions and I never get any notification of when the battery will be fully charged. Have made all of the location settings as suggested. Still no joy. I don't follow a regimented charging routine. Just charge when I have a chance. Until now that has never been a problem. Now I never know when the battery can be fully charged.

You cannot downgrade the iOS version on your iPhone. What we can do is to check the status of the battery health.

  1. What is the model of your iPhone?
  2. Which iOS version is currently running on it?
  3. What is the Battery Health of your iPhone? Open Settings ➔ Battery ➔ Battery Health and let us know which percentage you see for Maximum Capacity. Also note what is written under Peak Performance. If your battery's Maximum Capacity shows a value of 80% or less, then it has gone through its lifecycle and therefore should be replaced, according to Apple.

I am looking for a simple explanation to this issue just like you are.

Yes, I have done that. I have read all the articles on Apple.com. Have set settings for notifications etc. per the articles. Still does not work as "before". I have never gotten the "notification" that it will be fully charged by such and such a time as the articles say it will with the opiton of "fully charge now button"???

It used to charge to 100% in a couple of hours. Now it can sit on the charger all night and still be 57%. Then all of a sudden it is at 99%. I know I am missing something......and I am no neophyte. Built my first computer to play "Pong" in about 1978 or so. In an effort to make a PC "Murphy Proof", the programmers/developers sometimes seem to make it where only "Murphy" can operate it! Sorry, just the frustration coming to the surface.

I am retired now and no longer use a computer for work etc. so do not need all the current bells and whistles. (Plus my old brain just doesn't function as it used to either). Is there a way to reload the iOS to a previous level before iOS 13 (I think when this feature first started)? Used to be able to back out of an OS update but don't see how now. I no longer want to "jail break" the iphone and get into all that entails. Guess I am just looking for an easy fix.
