I have an pad pro 11-

over the last few days though when I sign in to either a website or twitter or indeed anything it stays signed in whilst I am using that site. However if I go elsewhere and come back to the same site I have to sign in again. The same happens with the use of face recognition. If I go away and come back to the same location it asks if I would like to use face recognition

frustrating!

Websites often track your session status with cookie. Not all cookies are persistent - some being session based, requiring you to re-authenticate when you return - or attempt to reconnect using a different browser or browser instance.

FaceID is merely a key that, in this context, unlocks your Keychain - where your website username and password are stored. The website itself does not receive (or support) biometric authentication.
