Why I can’t swipe up in my Apple Watch

Do as above and force restart your Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.

can't swipe up or down on screen to access notifications and the options when swipe down and see charge level etc
