Late 2013 iMac compatibility with Catalina

I have a late 2013 iMac looking to upgrade from High Sierra to Catalina. I called Apple support and they said I could not, yet it says on Apple's page for compatibility that I can. Was I misinformed on the phone? Thanks!

Just understand that any 32-bit applications or 64-bit applications with 32-bit components are not supported on Catalina. Same drill for 32-bit printer/scanner drivers. Consider the free Go64 application to see a list of your 32-bit apps before you upgrade.

Do not upgrade to Catalina without first performing a Time Machine backup of High Sierra, and then setting that TM drive aside and not use it for the Catalina backups.
