iMac (late 2013) as a monitor to Mac Studio M1 Ultra

Hi, my name is Gabi

I plan to buy Mac Studio with M1 Ultra chip and I already have iMac (late 2013). My question is can I use my iMac as a monitor for Mac Studio M1 Ultra? Thank you!

"The other Mac that you're connecting it to must have been introduced in 2019 or earlier and have macOS Catalina or earlier installed." From the article about this topic.

Thank you very much

To be clear, you say you are buying a Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra SOC? If that’s the case the monitor of a 2013 iMac would be woefully inadequate for that. It’s not even 4K and would not support most, if any of the graphic features of the M1 Ultra. It would like buying a Lamborghini with a Volkswagen Beetle engine.

Buy the Studio Display and be happy.
