Need latest Mac OS drivers for the HP F4580 inkjet printer

Hello --

I need the latest Mac OS drivers for the F4580 inkjet printer. I'm using Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra.

I need to reinstall the drivers, up to the latest update. The official Software and drivers for HP Deskjet F4580 All-in-One Printer page offers only a 2014 patch. It seems to me the entire set of drivers used to be on this page, but HP support removed them and left only the patch there. It's a mystery.

In the HP support community, @ShlomiL recommends this in a 2021 thread:

Next, download and install the latest drivers below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/ASU/HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dm...

Is this the entire compendium of drivers up to 2021? It is not on the Deskjet F4500 driver page. Does it contain the 2014 patch that's on that page?

Is there a trustworthy source for the drivers for this printer?

Mac mini, macOS 10.13

Hi,

Also, if necessary, there is an HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update download from Apple. It should be noted that the System Requirements for this update say macOS 10.14, but you could perhaps try it anyway (something like the HP Deskjet F4500 series driver version 3.3.2 mentioned in Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support). This may or may not work. Look upon it as an experiment. Make sure that you have backup copies of all important files (documents, photos, et cetera) before testing anything.
