VMware Horizon - flickering screen, unusable

Long time no answer for a previous post regarding the same issue - Big Sur (specifically on my 2015 12" MacBook), so I decided to ask again.

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015)

MacOS Big Sur Version 11.6.4 (20G417)

VMware Horizon Version 2111-8.4.0-18968281

1x VDI in it running a Windows 10 VM (corporate image)

What I did so far based on the previous post and it's recommendations:

Reset the SMC

Reset the NVRAM

Booted to Safe Mode

Uninstalled and re-installed the Horizon client

Deleted and re-entered the VDI I want to access

Nothing helps, session keeps flickering/blinking unusably both on internal display and external ones, complete crap - can't even see the desktop/icons except the here-and-there blinking Windows Start logo and magnifier glass of the search bar in the laft, and the date/time in the right bottom corners. Other than that it's an all black screen, nothing helps from the client's settings (Auto or manual resolution, scaling, tried everything there is). It worked flawlessly before Big Sur...

Thanks for any advice other than the mentioned/suggested remedies that did not help.
