Hi, I have apple pencil 2 with my iPad Pro 11 inch M1. Recently I realized that when I take my pencil from its charging location; within approx 5 min its battery goes down to 97% from 100%. I wonder is it normal ?

We want to start with making sure the battery widget and charging status when connected to your iPad are reporting the same information. When this occurs, check the status of the battery using both of the steps below:
"If you have Apple Pencil (2nd generation)
"To see how much charge your Apple Pencil (1st or 2nd generation) has left while you're using it, check the Today View on your iPad. Just swipe from left to right on the Home screen or Lock screen."
Is the battery level the same in both places when this occurs?
