"Invisible user" password request: how to get rid of it

When I turn on AppleTV it prompts me for a password for a user not shown in the settings. How do I get rid of it?

This is likely due to one of the apps on the device, that was installed using that old account. You would be prompted for the account credentials when it tries to (automatically) update, as each app stays linked to the account that was active when installing it.

To solve it, remove that app, and re-install it with your regular account.
