WeTransfer

I downloaded a wav file via WeTransfer in February. When I went to retrieve it a few days ago it had vanished. I have not seen this happen before with WeTransfer downloads. I can't get it resent to me. Is it gone for good?

No, WeTransfer doesn't self-destruct local files.

When you stated "When I went to retrieve it a few days ago it had vanished." I assumed you tried to download it again after the file expired.

If the local file is gone, then it's not related to WeTransfer. Do you have a backup (TimeMachine)? Have you already tried to search the wav file with Finder/Spotlight? Maybe you or Audacity have inadvertently moved the file in another location/folder.
